The Pilots are on the road tonight to face the Holly Springs Salamanders. With last night’s loss, their playoff chances are much slimmer. They now sit two games behind the Tobs for the second playoff spot with two games to go, meaning the Pilots need to win both and the Tobs need to lose both.

Last night, the Pilots played in a huge game for their playoff hunt, but they came up just short, losing 6-4. Ethan Ott (University of New Mexico) homered in the eighth, his fifth of the summer, to try to give the Pilots some life, but that was all they had.

Nick Willard (Liberty) gets the start for the Pilots tonight, his fourth start of the season. His last appearance was on July 20th against the Sharks, when he gave up only one hit and no runs over five innings, striking out five.

In a must-win game, the Pilots must rise to the occasion tonight.
