The Peninsula Pilots start their summer season tonight at 7 PM against the Tri-City Chili Peppers. Also, this game falls on a Thirsty Thursday, meaning $2 beers! The Pilots will also be doing a clear bag giveaway to promote the new policy on carrying personal belongings being put in place this year. Here’s how your Pilots will be taking the field on Thursday night.
1: CF Trey Morgan
2: 1B Justin Starke
3: 3B Chris Martinez
4: DH Aaron Manias
5: SS Zac Morris
6: RF Henry Garcia
7: LF Keenan Spence
8: C Barham White
9: 2B Eduardo Acosta
P: Brian Ereu
Brian Ereu is a redshirt freshman from the University of Science and Arts in Oklahoma and is making his Pilots debut tonight.
Head coach Hank Morgan talked about the strength of his defensive unit:
“We have a lot of good problems with the position players,” Morgan said. “We have two players at each position worthy of a starting position, so we’ll have to see.”
The Pilots are also celebrating the 75th anniversary of War Memorial Stadium this season. The stadium, built in 1948, is named War Memorial Stadium as a tribute to those that fought for our nation in WWII.
The Pilots look forward to seeing you at War Memorial Stadium at 7 PM tonight.
