The Pilots will continue their road trip as they face the Morehead City Marlins tonight at 7 PM. Last time these two teams faced off was on June 3rd, where the Marlins came out on top 5-1. Morehead City led for the entirety of the game, scoring in the first inning and never looking back.

“They’re gonna make us beat them,” Coach Morgan said. “We need to match them on the mound and defensively and try to find a way to create runs.”

Bryan Ereu will be on the mound for the Pilots tonight. Ereu had a clean opening day, pitching five scoreless innings.

The Pilot bats heated up in their last game, scoring ten runs on twelve hits. In the previous two games, they only racked up three total runs. In their last matchup against the Marlins, the Pilots scored one run on twelve hits. This is what head coach Hank Morgan had to say after the June 3rd loss.

“A lot of our hits came with two outs and empty bases,” Coach Morgan said. “We even had an inning or two where we had multiple hits with two outs. Need to get on base earlier in the inning.”

The Pilots continue to look for their first win tonight at 7 PM.
