The Pilots play their fourth game in three days tonight, as they face the Wilmington Sharks at home for their first matchup of the season. Wilmington has had a strong season, sporting a 12-9 record on the season.
The Pilots scored runs in unfamiliar fashion last night, as home runs scored two of the three runs for the Pilots. Known as a small-ball team, the Pilots showed they can win games in many types of ways.
Pitching has been unconscious for the Pilots recently, posting shutouts in back-to-back games. Dalton Barham (Norfolk State) hopes to continue that tonight, getting the start for the Pilots. Barham has only started one game for the Pilots this season, but he has been one of their most dependable relievers. Over 17.2 innings pitched, he has a 2.03 ERA and twenty strikeouts.
The Pilots hope to win their third straight tonight at 7 PM.
