Chris Ludman put up his third consecutive seven-inning start, surrendering his first run of the season on a solo shot in the top of the fourth.

Peninsula (11-3) continued to get the best of Tri-City (4-11) in its 4-1 victory Friday, moving to 5-1 against the Chili Peppers on the season thanks in part to Trey Morgan’s 3-for-3 performance at the plate. 

The Pilots head back to Colonial Heights, Virginia Saturday to face off against the Chili Peppers for the sixth time this season. First pitch at Shepherd Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
