The Pilots fell on the road against the Holly Springs Salamanders 6-4. With this loss, the Pilots are officially eliminated from postseason contention.

Chris Martinez (Univ. of Science and Art) and Cole Stanford (Lenoir Rhyne) led the Pilots in hits with two a piece.

Two errors by the Salamanders in the second inning allowed the Pilots to strike first, scoring two runs. Cole Stanford (Lenoir Rhyne) and Marc Cisco (Queens College) both had singles this inning, getting themselves in position to score.

The Salamanders got one of these runs back in the bottom half, homering with two outs in the inning.

A sacrifice fly to right field tied the game at two in the fourth inning. An infield single gave them the lead later on.

An error allowed another Salamander to score in the fifth, making it 4-2.

The Salamanders added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. The Pilots were able to get both of those runs back in the seventh inning, scoring on a single by Brayden Caskey (Arkansas State) and a double by Chris Martinez (Univ. of Art and Science).

The game ended with a final score of 6-4 Salamanders, and the Pilots are now officially out of the postseason race. Tonight, they play their last game of the season, playing at home against the Martinsville Mustangs.
