The Pilots play on the road today, facing off against the Morehead City Marlins tonight at 7 PM. The Marlins have had the Pilots’ number this season, winning all four matchups. However, the Pilots come into this game with a lot of momentum, winning their last three. 

Pitching has been extraordinary for the Pilots in that stretch, allowing only two total runs over those last three wins. Newcomer Jake Clemenete hopes to continue this streak, as he gets the start for the Pilots. Clemente is a freshman RHP at the University of Florida and wasn’t able to get any innings for the national championship runner-up.

Justin Starke (VMI) will play left field and hit fifth tonight after missing nine games with a thumb injury.

Peninsula hopes to stay hot and make it seven straight tonight at 7 PM.
