High School: Two-year letterman at Maury under head coach Chris Howlett...As a senior, hit .568 with four home runs and 45 RBIs while going 5-1 on the mound with a 1.98 ERA...Named Eastern District Player of the Year, First Team All-Region and Second Team All-State (AAA) as a senior...Also earned First Team All-Tidewater accolades in his senior season...Helped lead the Commodores to Eastern District regular season and tournament titles as a senior...As a junior, hit .428 and went 3-0 with a no-hitter to his credit...In 2008, helped Maury to both a regular season and tournament championship in the Eastern District...Named Second Team All-District as a junior...Also a four-year letterman and Team MVP in golf at Maury...Graduated with Honors and was a member of the National Society of High School Honors.
