High School: Four-year letterman as a pitcher and utility player under head coach Chris Howlett at Maury...Earned Second Team All-Tidewater accolades...Named to the Virginian-Pilot's All-Tidewater Team as a pitcher...Eastern District Player of the Year after leading the Commodores to the district's regular season and tournament championships...Led South Hampton Roads in strikeouts during the regular season and finished with 128 (against 18 walks) in 67 innings, going 7-2 with a 1.50 ERA....Two-time Second Team All-District selection...In his career, went 19-6 with 279 strikeouts in 189 innings...Also a three-year letterman while playing basketball and golf...Member of the National Honor Society.
